Our Curriculum:
Our curriculum reinforces the essential connection between art and all aspects of learning. In class, students will learn build their fine motor skills, learn new techniques, and make incredible works of art! Students will learn about artists from around the world, whose art and technique will be the inspiration for the student's drawings, paintings, sculptures, collage, printmaking and more! Our teachers will provide age-appropriate projects for students, from beginners to advanced artists, so that each student can make masterpieces of their own!
Our Fall Semester runs from August 30th until December 18th.
Fall tuition is $40.00 per class or $600.00 for our 15-week long semester. Tuition will be prorated for students joining our classes once our semester is underway. Tuition includes all supplies, 1½ hours of class and 1 hour of time in our Pop-In Studios per week. Please call us at 713.552.9028 if you have questions or need more information!

Saturday
Workshops
Saturdays Workshops at Art Mix will feature Drawing, Painting and Sculpture Workshops. Students can join us for two hours of creative fun as they build their artistic skills, learn new techniques, and make incredible works of art! In keeping with the Art Mix curriculum, every Saturday students will learn about an artist from a new destination, whose art and techniques will be the inspiration for the workshop. Our teachers will provide skill level-appropriate projects for students, from beginners to advanced artists, so that each student can make a masterpiece of their own!
Each workshop will focus on a different theme and build students’ fine motor and creative skills as they learn to use a variety of techniques and media:
Drawing Workshops: explore themes such as chiaroscuro, landscape and perspective drawing, cartoon and illustration, and self-portrait drawing using pencils, charcoal, watercolor pencils, and pastels.
Painting Workshops: explore various subjects including color theory and color mixing, still life, landscape and portrait painting using watercolors, acrylics, tempera and more.
Sculpture Workshops: learn to sculpt using a variety of media, including clay, paper, metal, wire and wood. Each workshop will focus on a different theme, such as creating texture in clay, 3-dimensional paper sculptures, assemblage, and more!
Tuition: Saturday Workshops are $40.00 for the first child, and $30.00 for each sibling. All supplies and materials are included in the tuition. Students can register by the week, month or the whole 14-week long Fall Saturday semester. $40.00 per artist. Groups of 8 or more artists that come to the Saturday Workshops together, receive a $10.00 discount per artist! “Paint
with Me” Classes are designed for 2-year old artists to bring a grown-up along, to participate in class with them! Classes will begin with wonderful children’s picture story books that relate to the artist, medium or theme of our art project. Classes are kept small with four to six children per class. Students develop their imagination as well as their fine and gross motor skills, as they create multi-media art projects including drawing, painting, collage and more.
Our Fall Semester will run from August 30th until December 18th. Fall tuition is $35.00 per class or $525.00 for our 15-week long semester. for Children with Special Needs
If you would like to arrange an individual or small group class for a child or children with special needs, please contact Art Mix directly, 713.552.9028 or contact@artmixlearning.com. Our talented and nurturing teachers have developed an exciting, multi-sensory curriculum for children to develop their skills and their imagination.

Private
Lessons
Private lessons are available for students who would like one on one instruction with an Art Mix teacher. Students may work on an individual art project or a school-related project. The cost for private lessons is $30.00 per half-hour, $50.00/hour. Siblings: additional $30.00/hour.

Young artists are welcome to visit the Pop-In
Studios during our Fall business hours, (through December 18th, 2010), 9:00am to 6:00pm, Monday through Thursday, 9:00am to 5:00pm Fridays, and 10:00am to 5:00pm, Saturdays. Each day children can choose from a variety of art activities, and spend up to 1-hour in our Pop-In Studios. A member of our staff will be on hand to observe your child, assist with art supplies and project ideas.
The cost is $15.00 per hour, for students not currently enrolled in Art Mix classes. Artists who are enrolled in Art Mix classes have one hour per week of Pop-In time included in their class tuition!
"Frequent Popper" cards are available for purchase, and offer regular pop-in artists a good value! Buy a card for 5 visits to our Pop-In Studio for $75.00 ($15.00/visit), and get a 6th visit for FREE!
Playgroups of All Ages: 10 for $10.00! Groups of 10 or more artists can come for up to 2 hours of creative fun for $10.00/hour! Art Mix will provide the supplies and activities for you and your friends! Reservations are required, please contact Art Mix: 713.552.9028 or contact@artmixlearning.com to make a reservation.
Stress-Free School Class Projects! Children can complete their School Class Projects at Art Mix. Bring your school assignment and project ideas with you, and Art Mix staff can help your child complete the creative components of their class projects, including "All About Me," Earth Day Posters, Recycled Art Projects, International Day, Science Fair and more!!

Adult Classes
Welcoming all adult artists! Beginning this Fall, adults can come experience our multimedia, multicultural curriculum in a fun and supportive environment! Artists will build their skills, learn new techniques, and make incredible works of art! Classes will meet on Wednesday mornings from 10:00am-12:00pm. The cost is $50.00/class. Walk-ins are welcome! Fall classes will run from September 1-December 15, 2010.
