join us for our 12th annual, “art journey around the world!”

may 15 – september 1, 2017

in each of our 16 weeks of camp, students will make masterpieces inspired by a rich collection of artists from a new destination each week. students will build their skills and learn new techniques in drawing, painting, sculpting, mixed media and collage.  at the conclusion of the week, students will have a beautiful collection of personal masterpieces that represents all of their more fully developed creative skills and talent!

destinations & artists featured in may:

week 1 (may 15-19), color & pop artists from all over the united states. featured artists include maya hayuk, elsworth kelly, and david buckingham.

week 2 (may 22-26), tour of asia. make masterpieces inspired by artists and craftsmen from china, japan, singapore, and more!

week 3 (may 30 – june 2), east coast adventure. make masterpieces inspired by artists and craftsmen from the northern united states and canada. *(this is a 4-day week of camp, tuesday-friday).

week 4 (june 5-9), the british islands & ireland. featured artists include bridget riley, damien hirst, david hockney, and manus walsh.

week 5 (june 12-16), spain & portugal. featured artists include joan miro, salvador dali, and antoni gaudi.

week 6 (june 19-23), australia & new zealand. featured artists include max giblet, sara whitbread, and don binney.

week 7 (june 26-30), central america. make masterpieces inspired by artists and craftsmen from belize, guatemala, and costa rica.

week 8 (july 3-7), east coast of the usa. featured artists include burton morris, charley harper, matt moore, and stanley whitney.

*(we will close on tuesday, july 4th, after our creative combo camp concludes at 3:00pm).

week 9 (july 10-14), netherlands, austria and switzerland:  featured artists include vincent van gogh, rembrandt, gustave klimt, and paul klee.

week 10 (july 17-21), the west coast of the united states: featured artists, including wayne theibaud, paul wonner, rex ray, and georgia o’keefe.

week 11 (july 24-28), the mediterranean: make masterpieces inspired by master artists and craftsmen from turkey, greece, italy and more!

week 12 (july 31- aug 4), islands of the world: make masterpieces inspired by master artists and craftsmen from hawaii, easter island, iceland, newfoundland, and the caribbean.

week 13 (august 7-11), south america:  featured artists include beatriz milhazes, romero britto, sonni, and tarsila do amaral.

week 14 (august 14-18), france and belgium: featured artists include niki de saint phalle, claude monet, and rene magritte.

week 15 (august 21-25), india and southeast asia:  make madhubani paintings, indian rangoli, masterpieces inspired by khin maung zaw, rafiee ghani, and more!

week 16 (august 28-sept 1), women of the usa, south:  featured artists include mary ellen snipes, ellen soffer, nancy standlee, and georgia o’keefe.

summer camp times & tuition 

weekly and daily registration options are available:

morning camp daily9:00am-12:00pm: $65.00 per day

morning camp weekly,  9:00am-12:00pm: $300.00 per week

creative combo daily, 9:00am-3:00pm: $115.00 per day

camp creative combo weekly, 9:00am-3:00pm: $575.00 per week

lunch workshop daily:  12:00pm – 3:00pm: $65.00 by the day or $50.00 as part of a creative combo
full day camp daily, 9am-5:00pm: $140.00 per day
full day camp weekly, 9am-5:00pm: $700.00 per week
full day camp: students who join us for the full day, will enjoy hours of creative fun and skill building in all of our camp programs.
in morning camp and lunch workshop, students will build their drawing, painting, sculpting and mixed media skills as they make masterpieces inspired by the featured artists and destination of the week. between 3:00 and 5:00pm, students will have artist’s choice of media.  they can choose to join our teacher lead projects, or work independently on projects of their choice!  at the conclusion of each day of camp, students will have worked with a great variety of media, developed and learned new skills, and will have a colorful and creative collection of masterpieces to take home.
