Owner & Studio Teacher

Jacqueline founded artmix creative learning center in January 2005. Since then, she has built artmix with an incredible team of art teachers and wonderful students. Jacqueline has worked in the field of art education, specifically teaching children with special needs, since 1994. In 1989, Jacqueline received her B.A. in Government and International Relations from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. She earned a Master of Arts Education in 1996, and a Master of Special Education in 1998, from the University of Houston. Jacqueline worked for several years with the pediatric patients at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center through the Children’s Art Project. She has lived in Houston for 22 years, where she is raising her three teen-age sons.


Director of Early Childhood Development / Studio Manager

Kelly joined the artmix team in 2011. As our Studio Manager, Kelly works with our team to organize and manage artmix & artmixstudio programs, parties and special events. She also enjoys teaching children of all ages and children with Special Needs. She attended Sam Houston State University and graduated with a BFA in Studio Art and a minor in Art History. She has a passion for 3-D Arts, Installation, and Film. Kelly fills the rest of her time creating her own artwork.

Part Time Studio Teacher

Danielle joined the artmix team in 2015 after moving from New York a year earlier.
She is earning a dual Masters of Arts in Arts Leadership as well as a Masters of Fine Arts in Interdisciplinary Arts from the University of Houston where she focuses on printmaking, mural work, horticultural art, puppetry and theater design. Past academic studies include a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies from Cornell University and a B.F.A in Scenic and Costume Design from Syracuse University. Danielle has spent most of her career as a freelance designer, creative entrepreneur, and a youth arts educator in art, dance, and theater. She is currently an undergraduate instructor in Digital Arts Media at the University of Houston and loves working with kids of all ages, 2-92! In her spare time she can be found in the dance studio, exploring Houston, or traveling to exotic destinations.


Studio Teacher

Alyssa joined the artmix team in 2014. She is currently attending the University of Houston and is working towards a major in Biology and minor in Anthropology and Interdisciplinary Art. Alyssa enjoys teaching kids of all ages with all learning abilities. She has a passion for DIY crafts, photography, painting, collaging and making digital art. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her pets, reading, making art, going to concerts and being outdoors in nature.
